Revival in the Mountains

Honduras Mission Trip

We were blessed once again with visiting the beautiful country and people of Honduras. Last May we were able to assist an organization in starting a music school. So far we’ve been able to provide 9 guitars to the music school between this recent trip and a trip that we took back in May.

So you might be wondering why are we taking so many guitars with us on these mission trips. A year ago the Lord I met Jose Norman, a man who ended up getting hired as part of Prayer Plan Ministries Team (the ministry in Honduras we are partnered with). He is a former music teacher and amazing guitarist with a gift for music. We both saw a need for instruments and guitar lessons to better equip the worship teams in the villages that we visit in Honduras. We saw how including the children in the music school would bless the churches since they are the now and the future. So the plan was to wait a year but the Lord placed in my heart an urgency to return in May of this year and that’s exactly what he did.

He provided someone from our church who would answer the call and provide all 6 cases for the guitars and another person outside of our church who would also bless us with the purchase of 6 guitars . And we were on our way to Honduras and the music school program  began that same day we landed. So from May until present October the students were practicing and we were blessed to see them perform 2 songs they have learned, one of the songs being Amazing Grace.

In May of 2024 we will be celebrating the first graduating class of students. Rony, David, Jenny, Aurelia, Anahi, Sandra, and Martha, led by Jose Norman.

There’s revival in the mountains of Honduras and BT Church gets to be a part of it.
